〔強制する〕 make sb do; compel [force, oblige] sb to do; have sb do; 〔容認する〕 let sb do; allow sb to do.

●その仕事は私にやらせてください. Let me handle the job.

・面白そう! 私にもやらせて. That looks like fun. Let me try [do it].

・あの男はやらせればできるのだが, 自分からやろうとはしない. He'll get the job done if you force it on him, but he never does anything on his own.

やらされる, やらせられる be made [forced] to do sth.

●同じ仕事をやらされても給料は正社員の半分だ. I have to do the same work as a full-timer but only get half the pay.
